Launch of Spice Company Helps Daughter Memorialize Dad with Help from Intelligent Office

Although Charles Jamison died in 2006, the business concept that he conceived with his daughter did not. What started as a treasured family recipe some twenty years ago lives on today as Seasonest, LLC.

Seasonest is an all natural, artisan-type spice blend without additives or preservatives. It is a seasoning salt that you can use to season meat, vegetable dishes and any other food that you would normally apply a mix of spices to.

Crystal Peterson, the owner of Seasonest, mixes all of the spices by hand in her commercial kitchen in Suwannee.

“I don’t have a food or hospitality background but my dad worked in the kitchen when he was in the Navy and later owned a BBQ restaurant,” explains Peterson. “In our big family, cooking was always part of our family tradition.”

Jamison tweaked the product considerably over the years.

“With all the people that came over to eat, we started getting a lot of requests for it and then word spread from there,” continues Peterson.

Seasonest was originally made available just to family and friends while Peterson was working on her trade mark and compliance requirements for the USDA. This week they are proud to unveil their new website at www.seasonest.com where products are available for order by individual consumers.

The original Seasonest product is available in mild, original and spicy versions. There are additional products in development including a fish fry and buffalo wing sauce as well as additional favors of the original Seasonest spice like Caribbean, Mediterranean and Italian.

“Our focus for 2010 is the immediate Atlanta market,” shares Peterson. “Already we are receiving orders here and in my home state of Illinois.”

As orders started to roll in, Peterson quickly realized that she needed a professional address for her mail plus someone to answer the phone to accept orders.

“We have a lot of product shipped but there isn’t always someone at our kitchen to receive packages,” explains Peterson. “With Intelligent Office, I can be assured that there is always someone available to accept our deliveries.”

Now when callers want to place an order for product, their calls to Seasonest are answered by a friendly Intelligent Office receptionist and then sent to Peterson for fulfillment. Currently Seasonest is available only from the company but retail distribution through boutique outlets is part of Peterson’s long-term plan.

While Peterson is well on her way to making her father’s dream a reality, she still manages to keep his memory close by. You’ll find his likeness on the logo of every bottle.

For more information or to place an order, visit www.seasonest.com or call Crystal Peterson at 678.353.3377.
