Attorneys from the Law Firm of Barker & Wiegand Provide Representation for Felonies and DUIs as well as Divorce, with Help from Intelligent Office.
There comes a time in everyone's life that they need a good lawyer.
Whether it is to debate a parking ticket, settle a family dispute or obtain qualified representation in a felony proceeding, the partners of the Law Firm of Barker & Wiegand, LLP hope that you will call them.
With more than 30 years combined experience in the successful practice of law at both the trial and appellate levels, Barker & Wiegand are specialists in Criminal Defense and Family Law. Vic Wiegand and Bert Barker joined forces in 2005, the same year they became an Intelligent Office client. Together they serve clients in north Fulton and Forsyth, Dawson, Cherokee and Hall counties.
The firm’s criminal defense practice includes felonies, DUIs and juvenile court.
“We’re handling crimes from major felonies down to parking tickets, explained Wiegand. “Basically if it involves an arrest, I’m all over it.”
Before they became partners they had both practiced in Cumming as solo practitioners so they have deep reputations in that community. They joined forces to increase the resources they could make available to clients and improve their overall satisfaction.
“Anytime someone is accused of a crime, their liberty and their reputation is at stake. It may affect their finances, ability to keep or procure employment as well as impact family relationships,” continued Wiegand. “It is important to get a competent experienced litigator to defend them.”
The family law practice includes divorce, adoption, custody and support, and temporary protective orders.
“Divorce can be a tumultuous time in your life. We try to help people through it regardless of the emotional throws that they may be in by giving them the best possible legal advice to amicably shape the outcome of their case,” said Wiegand. “Ultimately they are going to have to live with the outcome of the case; it is going to impact their family and their financial status.”
Barker & Wiegand were referred to Intelligent Office by another attorney who was already a member of the Intelligent Office family.
“We were looking for someone to answer our phones in a courteous and professional manner. Prior to working with IO we each had a receptionist in our own solo practices,” explained Wiegand.
Now clients will make two or three trips to their office before they realize that their receptionist doesn’t actually sit in their office.
“We’ve effectively created a seamless experience,” concluded Wiegand.
