Cardinal Recruiting Group Expertly Matches Candidates with Employers Across Atlanta, With Help from Intelligent Office.
Suzanne Manzagol is a matchmaker, but not the kind you read about on the society pages. Instead she specializes in helping match employers with ideal employees. Her firm, Cardinal Recruiting Group, focuses exclusively on office support and therefore brings a depth of knowledge for firms looking for a receptionist or executive assistant, or seeking assistance with everything ranging from light accounting and bookkeeping to client services and project management.
Manzagol entered the recruiting industry in2003 after responding to a newspaper ad. She met the owner of the recruiting firm at her interview and found instant chemistry, landing the position on the spot. Manzagol was hired to establish new accounts and found she was so confident building her own book of business that she struck out on her own in 2008.
“I like to do things my way and market my business and my clients in a different way than other agencies,” explains Manzagol. “Starting my own business gave me the flexibility to do my own thing.”
Today Manzagol works with every type of company that you can imagine -- with the exception of call centers and healthcare -- including consulting firms, IT companies, commercial realtors, manufacturing, wealth management, CPAs and even law firms.
Because of her tenure in the business, she earns about 75% of her business on referral then credits her email marketing efforts with keeping her business top of mind with busy executives and bringing in the other 25% of new business. Her genuine concern for the satisfaction of her clients and candidates makes a big difference, too.
“I’m sensitive to the needs of the candidates that I’m placing and won’t accept a position in an environment where I think the candidate would ultimately be unhappy,” explains Manzagol. “I’d rather not make a placement than make a bad fit.”
Manzagol is also sensitive to the unique requirements of her clients, which means always returning calls within the hour and sometimes taking calls at 7PM or on the weekends.
“Having an appropriate sense of urgency is what has helped us to remain profitable even through turbulent economic periods,” continues Manzagol. “Business owners and executives need to focus on their business during regular hours so we tend to have our best conversations outside of their most productive time.”
Having a competitive database of candidates has also proved a differentiating factor for Manzagol.
“There is so much turnover in recruiting because folks find how much work it is and that they don’t have enough good candidates,” explains Manzagol. “To always have enough candidates to work all over the city means that you have to have them in Alpharetta, Vinings and Duluth.”
Manzagol gets help finding candidates for her all-over-the-city business with her new office at Intelligent Office.
“At IO I have a permanent office that I can access 24x7 to do interviews whenever I need them, plus I can have access to conference room space or an additional office if the client prefers to do interviews at our location instead of their location,” concludes Manzagol. “It’s a win-win.”
